Last Thursday, students put their genetics knowledge to the test with a fun, hands-on clay activity! Each group received a set of “genetic instructions” to create their very own unique clay creature — and their creativity and teamwork shined through in every design.
It was an awesome way to see science come to life! 🔬

A huge thank you to Hy-Vee and Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company for supporting Clarke High School through their Fuel Your School program! Hy-Vee also donates regularly to the Clarke Schools Food Pantry — this week we picked up a whole cart full of crackers!
Thank you to First Interstate Bank for your generosity in supporting Clarke Elementary's positive behavior system. Students can earn TRIBE tickets for showing trustworthiness, respect, integrity, bravery, and engagement — helping make our school a positive, encouraging place to learn every day!
Addison shared insights about careers in service and the impact of helping others, tying perfectly into the students’ Service Project Unit.
We’re so grateful for community partners like the Food Bank of Iowa who inspire our students to make a difference!
With the Global Read Aloud book, many classrooms across the country are reading the same book and connecting with each other. They share mail by writing about what they predict will happen in the book or their favorite part of the story they have read so far! The students have enjoyed connecting with other students from across the country. We have started getting mail to trickle in. Currently, we are connecting with a class from Michigan over the story!

Twelve students are hard at work framing the home, which will be a 1,700 square foot, 3-bedroom home including two upstairs bathrooms and a walkout basement-- and the potential for 2 more rooms downstairs!
We love seeing our students gain hands-on, real-world experience through this incredible project!
Check out these awesome Science Bound students spreading positivity and connection with their Fist Bump Friday smiles! 👊✨
Science Bound is a program that encourages students to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers — building confidence, leadership, and opportunity along the way!

Monday, October 27th, and Thursday, October 30th will be 1-hour early dismissal days for conferences.
There will also be no school on Friday, October 31st.

These special books are so much more than just words — they’re filled with science and math facts, information about presidents and states, sign language, braille, and so much more!
Our students were thrilled to flip through the pages and explore all the amazing things inside. Thank you, Rotary Club of Osceola, for supporting learning and curiosity in our classrooms! ❤️
