Today our students practiced bus evacuation drills to make sure they’re ready for anything, anytime they ride the bus—whether it’s to and from school, to activities, or on a field trip.

All Clarke 6-8 grade students are welcome to join us outside the middle school entrance on Friday, September 12th from 4:30-6:00. Student council will be serving free pop, chips, and cookies. After the tailgate, students can walk down to the football field to cheer on our varsity football team as they face I-35. Hope to see all of you there!

4th grade has been learning about electrical systems in science! This week, in Mrs. Coates class, did an experiment putting together an electrical circuit using a solar panel to power their circuits by the sun. They are very excited about the new science curriculum and are looking forward to more experiments!

The Clarke XC student-athletes ran well in their first meet of the season! For our five freshmen, this was their first 5K, and they handled the transition great. Our top scorers for today were Isabell Hay placing 13th and freshman Joseph DeVore finishing 20th.
All of our student-athletes finished the race strong, and several returning runners set new PRs compared to last year’s race. Jester Park is a tough course, both mentally and physically, but our athletes battled through it!
We’re excited to head to Wayne on Thursday and, of course, we celebrated with Cane’s!
