School Picture Retakes will be on November 7th. Students who are having their pictures retaken need to bring their old picture packets back to school and give them to the photographer. If they were absent on the first picture day, they may need a new picture form. Please see the building administrative assistants for new picture forms or picture day code.

ONE MORE DAY: Only one more day until the Clarke Marching Band Home Show! Join the Clarke Marching Band as they show off their talents on Sunday, October 15 at 2:00 in the Clarke Stadium! The show will include recapping the season, recognizing the senior class, and learning about the band’s performances at competitions and festivals. There is no entrance fee and there will be golf carts available to help transport individuals from the parking lot to the stadium. If you are unable to attend in person, the show will be live-streamed on the Clarke Activities and Athletics Facebook Page!

BOXTOPS: Clarke Elementary Student Council is doing a BoxTop challenge for the month of October! This will be a competition between classrooms and it is to raise money for the Student Council to be able to continue fun activities for our students. The classroom with the most BoxTops scanned at the end of the month will get to have a glow party! Please see the attached flyer explaining how to earn BoxTops using the BoxTops app. If you do not have a specific classroom or would just like to donate receipts, you are more than welcome to drop off receipts at the Elementary School Office and we will submit them.

UPDATE: Have you noticed the progress on the house at the corner of Shaw St. and Hwy 69? The team of Clarke and Murray students in the SWCC Carpentry Program is making considerable strides in the house frame. Next week you will notice the beginnings of a roof and walls to enclose the house; stay tuned for a video tour!

Clarke Community School District is celebrating Fire Prevention Week beginning on October 2nd! Elementary students will participate in the Fire Education Trailer through the Osceola Fire Department and Clarke County Emergency Management. Secondary students will participate in a fire drill to make sure every student and staff member feels prepared in case of a fire! The Osceola Fire Department is hosting the 29th Fire Fair on Thursday, October 5th from 5:30-8:00 pm at the fire station. Hope to see you there!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. To bring awareness to bullying and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, Clarke students, staff, and the community are encouraged to wear ORANGE on Monday, October 2nd. It's important for students to know they are not alone and that they have the right to feel safe. By joining together and wearing ORANGE on Unity Day, we can send the unified message that we care about all students' physical and emotional health and that bullying is not accepted in our OneTribe community.
Octubre es el Mes Nacional de Prevención del Bullying(Acoso). Para crear conciencia sobre el acoso y promover la bondad, la aceptación y la inclusión, se les anima a los estudiantes, al personal y la comunidad de Clarke a vestirse de NARANJA el lunes 2 de octubre. Es importante que los estudiantes sepan que no están solos y que tienen derecho a sentirse seguros. Due to construction delays, Clarke Community School District will postpone our preschool open house until later this year. Our first day of preschool will also change to Wednesday, September 6, 2023. On Wednesday, we invite parents/guardians to walk their children to their classrooms on the first day of preschool. Thank you, and we look forward to a fantastic year!
