teammates

TeamMates of Clarke Community Schools matches students (mentee) with a community member (mentor). They meet approximately once a week for 20-30 minutes and the role of the mentor is to be a positive role model who finds and celebrates the strengths of a child whether they are having a good day or a bad day. Mentors play games, shoot hoops, do crafts, or just chat!

TeamMates is not an at-risk program and is open to all students. Students are nominated to become mentees by school staff, their parents, or themselves! TeamMates is a school-based mentoring program, so all mentoring happens at school. Mentors do not do any transporting of the student or meet in the summer.

To learn more visit the TeamMates website. There are a lot of videos on the site that tell about the program.
