Clarke Schools to Remain Closed for Remainder of 2019-2020 Academic Year

In a news conference Friday, April 17, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that Iowa K-12 public schools would be closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.

Clarke Community Schools will continue to provide voluntary educational enrichment opportunities for our students. This was one of three options the Iowa Department of Education provided to districts.

Although this plan was created to support student learning through April 30, we will extend the plan through the end of the school year.

Thank you for your patience as we work through these priorities to support our students through this pandemic.

While we can’t be together physically, please know that we are thinking of each of our Clarke students, families, and staff members.

Please contact Superintendent Steve Seid at 641-342-4969 ext. 6 with any questions.
